This Privacy Policy explains what information Giga-Books collects, how we use it, and how we protect it. We built Giga-Books for gig workers — people who deserve straight answers, not legal walls. We'll keep this plain.

Who we are

Giga-Books is a product of Giga-Sphere OS, LLC, a Nevada limited liability company. When this policy says "we," "us," or "Giga-Books," it means Giga-Sphere OS, LLC.

What information we collect

We collect only what's necessary to run the service:

Account information — your name and email address when you create an account.
Income and expense records — the loads, trips, gigs, and expenses you log manually in Giga-Books.
Financial transaction data — in Phase 2 (coming soon), you'll be able to connect your bank account via Plaid. We will collect transaction data only with your explicit authorization. Plaid is not live yet.
Usage data — basic information about how you use the app (pages visited, features used) to help us improve the product. We do not sell this data.

How we store your data

All Giga-Books data is stored on Supabase servers located in the United States (East region). Your data never leaves U.S. infrastructure.

Encryption at rest — all stored data is encrypted using AES-256, the same standard used by the U.S. Department of Defense.
Encryption in transit — all data transmitted between your device and our servers is protected by TLS 1.3. Nothing travels in plain text.
Row-level security — your records are protected at the database level so only your authenticated session can access your data. Our staff cannot read your individual records.
Zero-knowledge authentication — we never store your password. Authentication uses secure, salted hashing. No breach can expose what we don't hold.

The WORM evidence log

WORM stands for Write-Once, Read-Many. Once a financial record is created in Giga-Books, it is cryptographically sealed and cannot be altered or deleted by anyone — including our own staff. This is a security feature, not a limitation.

This means your income records are permanently tamper-proof from the moment you create them. If you close your account, the sealed records remain in the cryptographic log per the immutability design — they cannot be erased. You should understand this before creating records.

How we use your information

We use your information only to:

Operate and improve Giga-Books
Generate your IRS-ready income records and deduction reports
Create cryptographic attestations of your income when you request them
Send you service-related emails (account confirmations, security notices)
Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not use your financial records to train AI models.

Third-party services

Giga-Books uses a small number of trusted third-party services to operate:

Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure (U.S. East servers)
Vercel — web hosting and delivery
Google Fonts — typography (Syne and DM Sans font files loaded from Google's CDN)
Plaid — bank transaction import (Phase 2 only — not yet active)

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy. We choose providers that maintain strong data protection standards.

AI crawler access

We permit AI search and indexing agents — including GPTBot (OpenAI), ClaudeBot (Anthropic), PerplexityBot, and Google-Extended — to index our public-facing pages and our llms.txt file. This helps AI systems accurately describe Giga-Books when users ask about income tracking tools for gig workers. No personal user data is accessible to these crawlers.

Cookies

Giga-Books uses minimal cookies necessary to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or behavioral profiling cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect your ability to log in.

Your rights

You have the right to:

Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
Correction — correct inaccurate account information (note: WORM-sealed financial records cannot be altered by design)
Account deletion — close your account at any time. As noted above, WORM-sealed records remain in the cryptographic log per the immutability design.
Data portability — export your income and expense records

Children

Giga-Books is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Giga-Books after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Governing law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States.
